BOO!!! HALLOWEEN 2019 IS COMING!!!

Ready for this year spooky celebration at school? Once more we need your collaboration and participation to make this Halloween special. The countdown has started!!!!

Remember that you can sign up in any, if not all!!!, of the categories (jack o'lantern, poster or spooky model). 

The contest will take place next Thursday (31st October). Our fisrt ESO students will aslo take part in an Escape room and our language assisstant, Elisha, has prepared a big surprise for our students.  Ask your English teacher for more details.

MEET OUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSISTANT

Hello! My name is Elisha and I am 22 years old. I am from Leeds, which is a city in the north of the United Kingdom, not too far away from Manchester. In England I live with my boyfriend named Jack, who I met at school.

I am currently a student at the University of Leeds where I study Spanish. When I’m not studying, I like to swim, spend time with my friends and watch my favorite tv series Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Here is a picture of me and my siblings, I have one brother, one sister and one half sister.

In 2017 I travelled to Shanghai to study Chinese for a year. Whilst in China, I visited the great wall of China, Tiananmen square in Beijing and lots of places in Shanghai. Overall, it was very difficult at times to communicate and adapt to their culture, but it was the most amazing experience.

Bienvenidos al blog de bilingüismo del "IES Acebuche" en Torredonjimeno, Jaén. Este espacio quiere ser un instrumento que permita al profesorado implicado compartir recursos de interés, mostrar trabajos del alumnado e informar sobre temas relacionados con nuestra enseñanza bilingüe.

Este es nuestro segundo curso de implantación de la enseñanza bilingüe y desde aquí queremos animar a nuestro alumnado para que siga tan creativo y participativo como hasta ahora.

This is our second year of implementing bilingual studies and from here we want to encourage our students to continue to participate as enthusiastically and creatively as always.

A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Our students continue working about sport. In this case they are going to write a paragraph about their healthy lifestyles. For that, they will use this PADLET.

Good morning!
I hope you've had a wonderful Easter break and are back with renewed energy.
Our 1st ESO students are going to start working on a new didactic unit. In this case we're going to work on sports and the first thing they are going to do is to write on this PADLET their opinion about practising sports.

ANDALUSIA DAY AT ACEBUCHE SCHOOL

Andalusia Day is a holiday celebrated in the region of Andalusia to commemorate the referendum for Andalusia to become an autonomous community within Spain, which was held in 1980. This day is celebrated every year on February 28th. In the following video you see some of the activities our pupils did during this day. I hope you like it!!!!

School Day of Non-Violence and Peace, 30th January

On January 30, the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, the International School Day of Non Violence and Peace is held.
